Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jeanette Minson has always had a passion for music, theater, and dance. After making her professional stage debut as a child in the RADIO CITY ROCKETS CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR (Chicago), she was hooked. From there she began acting in commercials and professional theater productions in her hometown.
After high school, Jeanette was accepted on an academic scholarship into the NYU/Tisch Drama Program where she studied at CAP21 for musical theater training and Stonestreet Studios for film and TV acting. During her time at NYU, she had the opportunity to perform in MainStage and Studio productions. She graduated with academic honors and was the recipient of both the Founders' Day Award for Academic Achievement and the Outstanding Achievement in Studio Award from Tisch/CAP21. Immediately upon graduation, Jeanette was named one of Broadway’s Rising Stars and made her Town Hall concert debut.
Since graduation, Jeanette’s love of performing has continued. She has appeared both on camera and on the stage in NYC and around the country at places like The Public Theater, Lincoln Center, Barrington Stage, and Goodspeed to name a few.
In addition to playing pretend on stage and in front of the camera, Jeanette recently graduated with her MSW from Columbia University where she was the recipient of the Overbrook Fellowship for Advanced Clinical Study in Social Work. Jeanette is now a LMSW and mental health therapist in private practice. You can also find Jeanette running in Central Park, cantering at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, volunteering with New York Cares, and constantly giving styling advice.
